“How We Evolve” September 10 – October 1, 2020
October 12th, 2020 | Posted by Alaiyo
The great thing about 2020 (not the year) is that it means excellent vision…. So please come and join us, feast your eyes on some visionary and beautiful artwork in this group show project, opening tomorrow, September 10th. I will have three pieces displayed.
Our inaugural show, How We Evolve, was curated in February 2020, before the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in New York City. The fourteen artists in this show submitted work that conveyed the concept of “How we Evolve” as they interpreted it. Reflection on how we cope and transform in response to our experiences is pertinent at any time in our lives. Viewing this work today, when we all are collectively prioritizing resilience, offers a new lens to consider our abilities and creative capacities through, in the face of an ongoing global crisis.
Masks are required, and we will enforce a 10 person limit (allowing couples or groups of up to three to count as one unit).
Location:
1120 Washington Avenue, 2nd Fl. Brooklyn, NY 11225.
